Chatham Islands Playground

Brand new playground by PlayGear, installed at Kaingaroa School on the Chatham Islands. This eight platform playground consists of many challenging activities designed to build confidence and develop upper body strength. Included in the playground area, is our ever popular PlayGear Fusion 25 Swing, which incorporates 2 rubber belt seats and a frisbee seat, encouraging group play and fun for all ages.

When designing the playground, customer input is always very important to us so we can deliver a product that is exactly what our client has in mind. This playground is very close to the sea so one of the main points considered was how this playground would need to stand up to the harsh marine environment. To combat this, all steel work has been hot dipped galvanised with stainless steel chain and galvanised fixings to minimise corrosion.

This project was always going to be challenging due to the location but what a fantastic team of staff and parents from the school! We are always more than happy to work with our clients to provide the best outcome.

We use higher grade powder coating on all of our products so we can be assured the finish will be super durable and the colours will stay brighter for longer.

The finished playground looks fantastic. What we make, we make to last!
